The 2nd International Summer Course on Advocacy Skills in Mental Health System Development: From Research to Policy is held following the success of International Short Course on Psychology (ISCP): Advocacy Skills in Mental Health System Development: From Research to Policy 2017. The ISCP 2017 has successfully triggered impactful progress in Gerakan Bebas Pasung (Free Pasung Program) in Indonesia which led to further action in the form of research collaboration and advocacy in district level.
This 2018 summer course is also designed to answer the need for advocacy skills in developing mental health system. The important topics covered in this year’s summer course are arranged into four modules, i.e. 1) Foundation, 2) Leadership, 3) Research, and 4) Publication. Also featured in the summer course programme is one extra module on depression (which will also be available for non-summer-course-participants), the International Convention on Depression and Culture: The Untold Story, that will be held during the summer course.
